BBS in the 70s

1970
Heinrich Baumgartner and Klaus Brand founded a small production plant in Schiltach manufacturing plastic chassis parts. The initials of the two founders and the location of the plant resulted in the company name BBS.

1972
The company started to manufacture a new type of three-piece racing wheels. With just a few years, the new technology led to guaranteed success in the world of motorsport. What started out as just an idea swiftly became a successful manufacturing company.

1976
International expansion began as BBS opened its first subsidiary in France.

1979
Martin Braungart became the third person to join the management team.
