Gran Turismo. The FIA GT championship is a sports car racing series in which super sports cars, that are based on production road car designs, take on one another. The race is divided into two categories, GT1 and GT2. Models belonging to the GT1 category include the Aston Martin DB9, the Maserati MC12, the Lamborghini Murciélago, the Corvette Z06 and the Ferrari Maranello. In the GT2 category, the Ferrari F430 team, equipped with BBS wheels, came out on top in 2008 after beating stiff competition from impressive opponents such as the Porsche 997 GT3 RSR.
