During this tournament, car manufacture factory teams (e.g. BMW, Chevrolet and Seat) race against private teams (e.g. Honda/J.A.S. Motorsport) and independent drivers who line up in the current and previous year's vehicles. With such a varied constellation, excitement down to the wire is guaranteed. For three successive years in a row, the BMW team, with Prilaux in the driving seat, won the nail-biting battle to take the championship equipped with BBS wheels.
